Still, ongoing war on Israel, on democracy, on humanity.
Just stopped at a random falafel stand. Standing in the sun, i ate the good food, dipping a fork here and there into the different salads, pickles, and sauces i had put aside on a plate. During this time, several clients came and went, some in regular clothes, some religious, and then in an instant there was a soldier with a gun strapped on his shoulder, and a little after came 4 young Arabs. The owner didn't seem to know anyone, nor did he treat any differently, in fact, he had spoken to me in Hebrew of course, but to those young men he spoke in Arabic. All of us, from very different places, perhaps with drastically different views on life - and the current situation in our country - standing together in a warm sun shower, adding hot peppers to every nourishing bite, and giggling about the fact that the stand owner carelessly keeps throwing bread out the window to the pigeons gathered on the street, huddled just like us, waiting for life to take a big turn for the better, for everyone!
