Today's Classical Corner... which has appeared here in the past, but this time presented vocally, not in an orchestral setting.
Without further adieu, here is an immensely beautiful choral adaptation of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings, composed in 1936! Agnus Dei is Barber's vocal arrangement of his own earlier composition Adagio for Strings (the 2nd Mvmnt his String Quartet, Op. 11).
Get ready for shivers. Just as in the great D. Lynch film.
Another side note which could urge on yet more goodbumps: This was sung at JFK's funeral.
