Mugar - Penn ar bled
Today's Cultural Corner... North Africa - and beyond!
Mugar are a Franco Algerian fusion group formed in 1996 based around
three flautists (Mugar Nasredine Dalil, Youenn Sikiotakis, Michel Le
Berre) and blending the sound of Berber music with the Breton, Scottish
and Irish repertoire.
The end result is breathtakingly beautiful.
Still active today, Mugar have released "Kabily-Touseg" in 1998 and "Penn ar Bled" in 2005.
