Poland is Today's Culture Corner...
and comes early and strong. WOW.
Well known in the world Polish opera diva Elżbieta Towarnicka, soprano, sings a song composed by Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz, to the poem "How Many Poverties, How Many Hungers".
It is written by a Gypsy poet Papusza, who without any education wrote her poems in the Roma language after learning the alphabet by herself. At the beginning of the 50s another poet, Jerzy Ficowski, helped her to gather her poems into the album Papusza's Harps.
