Modest Mussorgsky - Bydlo

Today's Classical Corner... Mussorgsky’s original, followed by an impressive and interesting rendition.


Bydlo is a word borrowed from Polish bydlo (“cattle”), and is used in modern Russian culture as a derogatory term to designate someone who is considered backwards, lacking refinement, culture, good taste, independence of thinking; someone with combined traits of both redneck and sheeple.
