Hugo Wolf "Lieder Mörik_Der tambour"

Today's Classical Corner... Wolf!


Hugo Philipp Jacob Wolf was born in Windischgraz in Lower Styria Austria, on March 13, 1860. He died after five years of mental prostration in Vienna, at the National Institute of Psychiatry, Lower Austria, on February 22, 1903, after contracting pneumonia made final a painful process of cerebral palsy. He even published 245 songs, but wrote a hundred others, some of which were published posthumously or disappeared.
