M. Ravel. Concerto № 1 for piano and orchestra in G Major
In 1928, Ravel returned to Europe from a 4-month tour of N. America, and encoded his jazz impressions into this piano concerto, which took 2 years to finish.
Completing the Piano Concerto for the Left Hand, Ravel didn't premiere this concerto until 1932, with Marguerite Long as the soloist and Ravel conducting the Orchestre Lamoureux.
