The Muslim Nation That Saved Jews in the Holocaust

Albanians were not Muslim until the Turks ruled (1480-1912), so what really saved Jews was unique and ancient Albanian cultural tradition called (Besa-Bes), which is an 'honor code', whereby you respect another's wishes - even your enemy.

That is not to say that many Muslims weren't kind to Jews, but the credit should be given to Albanian culture and not necessarily the Muslim religion.
