John Coltrane, Ray Draper and Mal Waldron - Under Paris Skies
It appears the tuba doesn't allow for ease of soloing, and yet Draper does the most with it. Overall, there's a sense of a 'living room jam' here, rather than a recording release, and the musicians feel like they speak separately, not together. Still quite worthy, as there's a magic here that is raw and special, and a reminder of the tragic life Draper had.
