Barbara Strozzi (1619-1677) - Sino alla morte

Today's Classical Corner... extraordinary!
A fascinating Italian woman, said to be not only an amazing vocalist herself, she was as well the most prolific composer - man or woman - of printed secular vocal music in Venice in the Middle of the century!
Her creations, mostly for Soprano, are also unique in that they almost completely only contains secular vocal music. something very rare for her time, especially for women.
i say again, WOMEN need to run the show. any show. anywhere. period!
