Alfred Schnittke: (K)ein Sommernachtstraum (1985)

Here's the Schnittke one is not accustomed to hear, and one could easily conclude that Alfred has been overtaken by remorse, and has thereby exposed to us his self inflicted wound of regret to actually and audibly be overly kind and gentle upon us poor souls! :)
Could this be Danny Elfman's source of inspiration?!
