Claudio Monteverdi Lamento della Ninfa - Guido Reni
Today's Classical Corner is... another excruciating piece from Monteverdi (written in 1638), which, excepting the vocal and the harpsichord, easily sounds like today's Pop, perfect for a tragic cinematic scene!
While i understand that if you do away with the vocal and harpsichord, you get nothing, but you get my point. and if you don't that's quite alright. :)
