A worthy watch, but not an easy one, at times redundant and slow, but actually fitting for its interesting and dominating subject: Bergman was incredibly talented, and charismatic, and like many genius artists, was dark and narcissistic, consumed by his imagination, lonely and awkwardly humorous. Haunted and mystified by his own demons, he made his own life and others' lives difficult, which made for astonishing film-making and storytelling, with themes fabricated and true, hence our morbid fascination with him.
